Revision tutorials

In recognition of the widespread disruption caused by Covid-19 and the resultant delay in holding the Distance Learning Programme exams we will be holding, for the first time in our history, a series of online revision tutorials, which will take place in our virtual mill.

Each tutorial will focus on particular aspects of the syllabus, as well as tips for improving performance in the forthcoming examinations. The tutorials will run for between one and two hours and be led by one or more of our course tutors.

The tutors will be inviting students to these sessions but for more information or to sign up, contact training@nabim.org.uk.  You will need to install the virtual mill on your pc, well in advance of the tutorials.  This takes a little time, so don't delay; for instructions, head straight to our flour milling training website.

Meet the tutors

Simon Bennett has 20 years' experience in the milling industry.  Whilst previously an engineer, his roles have taken in distribution, energy and site management

Steve Butler retired this year after a 40+ years career in milling, working for a number of companies whilst progressing from mill operative to general manager

Dave Ferns also has 40 years' milling experience, latterly in operations and project management, and has been much involved in the development of the virtual mill

Stephen Halleran has worked in the milling industry for 30 years in various roles and is currently a Regional Distribution Manager

David Robertson has worked for several milling companies through his 40 year career in mill production and management

Neil Walker is currently Technical Manager for a cereal milling engineer, having previously worked in a flour mill for over 25 years, latterly as Production Manager
