nabim at Parliament

nabim, along with the NFU, went to the House of Commons to raise the profile of UK arable farmers and cereals processors amongst members of parliament.

The occasion was well attended by a group of highly-engaged MPs and assistants. nabim spoke to around 40 people during the 2-hour event, including Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Michael Gove.

The main message we delivered was the contribution UK flour millers make to feeding and nourishing the nation. We used a combination of pop-up banners, leaflets and a table-top display of a wide range of goods that contain flour – from the obvious to the not-so-obvious such as confectionary, snacks and meat products. The display really drew people to the stand and provided a great starting point for conversation.

We are now working with the NFU to offer farm and mill visits to interested MPs.
